ABOUT THE SOUTHERN OREGON POKER CLUB
The Southern Oregon Poker Club opened in June of 2016 in Medford, OR and is owned and managed by Rogue Valley native Damien Rennie. With over 500 members and live games and tournament play offered 7 nights a week, we are the Rogue Valley’s preferred social gaming club.
We spread a variety of high and low stakes Texas Hold’Em live games beginning at $10. Players of all abilities are always welcome.
We ask that members abide by our house rules and show up ready to play some poker, make connections, and have some fun! Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are on the house and players age 21+ are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages to enjoy while playing - we’ll even keep ‘em cold for you!
Players are encouraged to call ahead to reserve a spot at a table. See our schedule for a complete listing of weekly games.
A Rogue Valley native, Damien Rennie graduated with honors from South Medford High School and went on to pursue a business degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene. After two years of college, Damien was introduced to the game Texas Hold’em, and by 2005 was playing professionally in the largest stakes online poker had to offer. In 2006, he became a poker dealer/supervisor in Eugene and Las Vegas and appeared on ESPN dealing the featured table during the World Series of Poker.
Damien founded the philanthropic organization Gamble-For-Good in 2015 with a mission to support Southern Oregon charities with casino-themed events that raise money for local organizations that make a difference in our community. As of April 2017, Gamble-for-Good has helped raise over $250,000 for charities throughout southern Oregon, most of which benefit children. Stay tuned for fundraising events benefiting nonprofit organizations at SOPC in the near future.
